Mountain View Pediatrics provides pediatric care to children from birth to young adulthood throughout Northern Arizona. Their team is committed to providing a comfortable and respectful environment for patients and their parents to keep our community healthy.
Offering group benefits is a meaningful way Mountain View Pediatrics has been able to take care of its employees. With the support of our team, their employees have them! Bridget Durham, the Practice Administrator at Mountain View Pediatrics, was kind enough to share her experience working with us to provide her team with benefits.
Let's Get to Know Bridget
What do you do for fun?
My favorite thing is traveling! I've done four long-distance treks in Europe in the last five years, including some in Spain and Italy.
What about work is fun?
I think the best part of work is when we get together as a staff and enjoy each other's company. It’s great to share work-related stories and also just chat about life outside of work.
Whether professionally or personally, what is one thing you’re proud of that happened in the last year?
We're very proud that we have brought behavioral health into the practice, so we are able to offer behavioral health, therapy services, skill services for the pediatric population here!
What advice would you give yourself at age 18?
Start contributing to your retirement!
What’s your favorite season in Flag, and why?
Autumn is my favorite season, not just in Flagstaff but worldwide. I love the colors and the cool temperatures, and it's a great time to travel.

The Value of Offering Benefits to Your Team
Why is it important to you to be able to offer benefits to your employees?
We want to set our employees up for healthy, successful careers and ensure they enjoy their retirement. We recognize the value of good healthcare and preventative care, which helps maintain a healthy community, staff, and practice.
What was the greatest challenge of being able to offer benefits to your team?
The biggest challenge in offering benefits to my team has been dealing with rising costs, which affect our budget. Plus, it’s tough to get younger employees to see why it’s important to set up their benefits early. Many of them just don’t realize the value of pre-tax plans and getting involved with their benefits right out of the gate. This connects to my own experience, as I wish I had started thinking about retirement and benefits when I was younger!
What do you love about working with Benefit & Financial Strategies?
I appreciate staying local and working with people I know and trust. Other agencies have tried to get me to switch, but I prefer to stick with those who are embedded in our community. Plus, their customer service is truly exceptional!
I work closely with Brandy on retirement, and we’ve known each other for 25 years since our kids went to elementary school together. I also work with Veronica on our health benefits, and while I don’t have the same long history with her, she’s incredibly responsive and always answers my questions within an hour. I may not work with Bill as much, but I’ve known him forever, and he’s a real staple in Flagstaff—always available and supportive.
